Our story

Welcome to our Happy Place

One of my happy places has always been spending time crafting, sewing, and quilting. I caught the quilting bug after taking my first class in Nome back in 1988.

In more recent years, I had the privilege to work 5 years at The Quilt Tree and 3 years at Seams Like Home Quilt Shoppe in Anchorage, Alaska. Those jobs never really felt like work to me. It gives me so much joy encouraging, advising, and learning from the folks I've had the privilege to meet over the years. I just loved helping folks choose the fabrics and supplies needed for their next beautiful project.

After spending most of my life in Alaska, it was time for some guaranteed sunshine, so we made the commitment to move. Knowing Pahrump would be needing a quilt shop after The Quilted Dragon's owners retired, we plunged right in to creating a shop for the quilters (and wanna be quilters) in the area. It's been such a pleasure to provide this community with a quilt shop since our opening in October 2024.
